Just to assist in your future trips. You shouldn't fly the Dive flag unless you are stationary and currently have someone in the water. There are regulations set in place for how other boaters should react to a coming in the area.

perfect. you gotta use the rope conection on the head at the right angle to direct the head rotation. I found it works best when you turn the motor backwards so the rope and head work together to stop the head from rotating the wrong way

Hey! I have the same kayak, with the same motor. 2024 model motor. It doesn’t seem to get a lot of speed and it makes a lot of turbulence. I have the 2.5dfs (short shaft) Do you have the short shaft or long shaft version of that motor? Thanks!

I’m 300 pounds. I body build and power lift and have two kids. So the higher weight capacity 130 will serve someone like me or anyone who doesn’t weigh the same as a teenager. My old town pdl is great at holding me alone though. The main thing is people just like to complain about things. If anyone can do better please design a kayak for us and bring it to iCAST.

The issue with ugly stiks is they are still ugly, i get its the joke but damn, atleast have a range of nice stiks

Confirmed. My 2 most favorite freshwater rods are Ugly Stik. Perfect action. That said, I’ve seen some pretty noodly larger rods at places like Walmart, which do feel junky.

I know this question is not related to this well put together video, but can you film a video with the vibe shearwater 125 and the hobie mirage 180 drive? I've seen how well the Makana does with the Hobie drive but I don't know how the shearwater does with it. Keep up the good work :)

How easy to attach a gas outboarf?

I got an inflatable SUP (aero Rackham) and have no worries. In some ways they are more durable as they will bend not break. I’ve heard about kayaks like the PA14 breaking hulls in cold weather during portage operations.

Dyslexia is real. I always have to double check everything I do.

Is there anything like scuppers to drain the deck? I have crashed through large waves running in our ship channel in my slayer and although I got wet the hull drained the waves promptly! The biggest weak spot in typical rotomolded kayaks, in my opinion, is the hull access points leaking and the water remains in the hull!

How good is this at draining water once it’s on the deck?

I'm definitely gonna buy a blue saltwater rod for catfishing at night when they come out.

I went up to Canada like fifteen years ago and all my rods except one Cabela's rod broke either on the way up or like the first cast. So I broke down and bought one bait caster and two spinning rods from Ugly Stik and they have lasted me ever since then. I have bought a couple musky rods and made a couple rods but I don't use them like four days a week all summer like I do my Ugly Stiks. Plus after watching Luke at cats & carps RUclips channel reel in his children on trikes or big wheels and not break an Ugly Stik.... They are heavier than really nice rods but I don't cast like crazy...

Looks good. The info on the tanacom is wrong. Daiwa give numbers for lithium and regular batteries. The tanacom and sea power are minimum 40lbs of fish traction and with lithium they have an instantaneous hoisting force of at least 200lbs to get the fish off the sea floor. But good job from Penn for cutting the cord.

A 5’6” Ugly Stik was my first fishing rod and brought me so many smiles and great memories as a kid!
